question on coax cable

so I got a diamond x50a dual band antenna and a mast I got bout 50 feet or so I need to run what is the coax of choice to run that distance? I heard rg8x or better would be the lmr400. is it worth the money to go to the lmr road?
I would use RG-8x. Have never been willing to pay extra for LMR: I don’t think you will notice the difference. Rich
Did you try the long run of RG-8X ? In my (limited) experience with VHF/UHF antennas, a long run with regular coax has too much loss on transmission. I didn’t want to pay for LMR, so I moved the antenna closer to the radio (about 10 feet of coax) and that worked.
