Resources available to members
SCRA has many resources to offer local hams. Our members have a wide range of knowledge covering everything from the practical to the theoretical.
- Programming handheld radios
- How to set up your own ham shack
- How to participate in a contest
- How to participate in POTA or SOTA
- How to improve your emergency communication skills
- Soldering and assembling electronics kits
Join SCRA to be connected with a mentor who can help you take your radio skills to the next level!
In addition to mentorship, we offer an equipment loaner program to our members. Members may check out radios and other gear ranging from HTs to HF rigs, antennas, tuners, analyzers, Morse code keys and tutors, and even a complete SOTA/POTA kit! We also have three complete mobile stations to loan to members who sign up to volunteer at local races and fundraising events.
