Levi’s Gran Fondo
The biggest and the best. The Fondo, in ten years, has become the largest event in the county drawing 2000 riders from all over the globe. We will be operating rest stops, SAGs and coordinating with Sonoma County Emergency Services. The course covers NW county from Windsor to Cazadero, King Ridge and Skaggs Springs Roads, to Cloverdale and Geysers Road. Some areas are not HT friendly. Drive times for aid stations varies from 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes from Windsor.
If you are new to public service and want a no-pressure way to try it out, sign up as a Shadow and we’ll pair you up with an experienced ham. Elmers at all positions will teach Shadows and get them on the air. Net control operators will take turns running net control and keeping a traffic log.
