Winter Field Day & JS8Call

I have been setting up my station for Winter Field Day and realize that there is not a lot of activity on PSK31 my favorite digital mode for FD/WFD. Looking for other options and knowing that FT8 is not allowed for WFD I thought I would try JS8Call which can be used for WFD. However, there is not a lot of activity on that mode that I can access. Has anyone been using JS8Call recently. The occasional activity that I see is on 40 meters. However, I have been calling CQ and no luck…Has anyone had much experience with this mode?
