A friend has a dual-band Baofeng GT-3 Mark II HT and all we want to do is get it to talk with the 147.315 2m repeater.
It works fine on simplex but it doesn’t seem to want to receive a signal from the repeater. It seems to transmit okay into and out of the repeater. Anybody have any secret sauce that we can pour over this HT?

    Thanks,

    John

Just a thought. I don’t have a manual, but does that radio support PL decode? If so, and if it is activated, is the decode set to a different PL tone than the encode?

Charlie and Darv, thanks much for the replies and the help. Charlie I don’t know much about the radio except that programming it is so non-intuitive that it hurts to try. Darv, I am forwarding the programming instructions to my friend from the link you provided. Thanks very much.
