WHEN: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2018 TIME: 9:00AM—-+ – 11:30AM
WHERE: Rincon Valley Mobile Estates, 4671 Circle Drive, Santa Rosa 95409
WHO: All radio amateurs who want to learn about Public Service Volun-teering and providing Net Control for SCRA Tuesday night Net.
WHY: With over 200 members, we should not be depending on a small handful of members to cover all the bases with volunteering for events and Net Control. This information will help newer hams to step up and volunteer, there-by increasing their knowledge and radio ability.
WHAT: A casual classroom style training session for hams of all levels who want to participate in Public Service Events and Tuesday night Net Control
A Certificate of Completion will be given to all participants
TOPICS TO DISCUSS:
How to . . . Work Tuesday Night Net Control
How to . . . Work as an event Water/Rest Stop Ham
How to . . . Work as a SAG for Public Service Event
How to . . . Work as a CommBoss for Public Service Events
UPON COMPLETION hams will feel more comfortable volunteering for SCRA Public Service Events, have more confidence in their ability to handle radio traffic like a Pro, have fun with other hams and get to see all the lovely out-of-the-way parts of Sonoma County that will otherwise be missed.
INSTRUCTORS: Charlie Sikes KZ6T; Iola Beckley KK6HRE—and any other SCRA member who wishes to attend and share their experiences.
Coffee, pastries and water will be available. If we decide to add more top-ics, we will provide a lunch and ask for donations.
