DMR LogoDMR Net – Thursdays 6:30pm

Join us on the fastest growing digital voice mode every Thursday at 6:30pm Pacific Time! We meet on the BrandMeister talk group 31707 (Sonoma County). It is open to any amateur radio operator that can get on DMR. Whether that’s a DMR handheld, mobile or even an AMBE 3000 USB key fob running BlueDV, we want to hear from you!

If you have a common Chinese DMR radio, we probably have a code plug on this site that gets you there!

Randy AA6RH is the usual net control operator, though he is trying to grow the pool of net control operators for this net. We look forward to seeing you on the talk group!

Morse Code Practice Net
Jan 13 @ 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Hello all code students,
I will host a code practice net on Friday evenings from 7 PM until 8 PM on the SCRA club 2m repeater, 147.315 + offset, 88.5 Hz PL beginning this coming Friday, January 13. Erin, K6ERI, our repeater chair, and the SCRA board have allowed and endorsed our net every Friday from now until the end of the course. Thanks Erin!
I will call for check-ins and we will begin. You won’t be sending code, you will be receiving and I will be sending. I’ll switch back and forth from voice to code practice and ask for volunteers to tell me what they copied. In the past this net has attracted many others not in the course to check in and/or listen to our session, and all are welcome. But I will ask others not to respond until members of the course (you) have had a chance to repeat your copy.
Hope to hear you then!
Very 73,
John B.

Ragchew Net
Jan 15 @ 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Ragchew Net

On the repeater – tune in to 147.315 + PL 88.5

QST, QST, calling all radio amateurs from Chuck, WA6VAG, net control station for the new SCRA ragchew net, approved by the Board of Directors on August 10, which will have its next session this Sunday at 8:00PM on the repeater. This will be a moderated ragchew net intended to bring our members and non-members together in a relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere allowing us to have fun and make new friends and will use a “round robin” format.  As this is a ragchew net, all stations are encouraged to stay around and participate in the ongoing conversation. All stations will be worked in the order they checked in, on a rotation basis.  The opening script for the net will provide more details.

The ragchew net will meet for about 60-90 minutes (unless closed earlier for lack of participants) to inform, enlighten and perhaps add a bit of humor to the day.  We invite all newcomers, especially new hams to join us. Roundtable ragchew QSOs are in the true spirit of amateur radio and provide a format for the exchange of information and general discussion on technical tips, ham equipment, antennas, personal opinions, local weather, sports, your latest home project, gardening feats, and gear swap/buy/sell listings (consistent with Part 97 rules).  Let’s try to avoid divisive, controversial political/social issues.

This is a moderated net.  Check-ins will be taken based the first letter of your callsign suffix, beginning with stations A/H, ALPHA through HOTEL then stations I/P INDIA through PAPA and lastly, stations Q/Z, QUEBEC through ZULU, establishing the rotation for the evening. There will be periodic calls by net control for late check-ins, and stations leaving the net can advise net control so they can be removed from the ongoing roundtable rotation.

Looking forward to hearing from many stations this Sunday evening.
