EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CLASS
We will hold an emergency communications class on Saturday, March 21, 2020. The class will be held at the City of Santa Rosa Utilities Field Operations Building, Room M, the City EOC room, at 35 Stony Point, just south of College. Class will start at 9:00 AM. Come a bit early for coffee and donuts.
The class will be in 3 one hour segments. First will be Radio Operations by Pat, KG6JSL. Next will be message handling by Brian, N6IIY, followed by Charlie, K6ZT, and Bill, AA6BD presenting digital modes with a Winlink demonstration.
This will be an interactive class. Bring your HT. A frequency will be assigned at the class to test your ability to operate your radio. Register for the class on the Club website, and/or email Pat at email@example.com. Course material will be emailed to you for review before the class.

Operational Time: 0600-2000 Operational Area: Western Arm (Warm Springs Arm) of Lake Sonoma / Warm Springs Dam Net Control Location: South Lake Trailhead (off Skaggs Springs-Stewarts Point Rd) at the event’s Start-Finish What: 50 mile foot race [Ultra running event] Web Site: http://www.run100s.com/ls50.htm Repeater: No Comments: This event is run on remote trails behind Lake Sonoma. The club repeater and others are not reachable in this locale.
- Operations for this event are in simplex, usually with HTs.
- NC sets up at the South Lake Trailhead â€“ same as Start-Finish for the event.
- Traffic consists of tracking the top 10 male and female runners, aid station status and medical/lost runners.
- Aid Stations are remote and sometimes require as much as 45 minutes to reach from NC. One requires a boat ride.
The Community Outreach Committee will provide information and extend community awareness of Sonoma County Radio Amateurs (SCRA) and amateur radio in general. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your passion of amateur radio with the community at large.
Setup is at 1400 breakdown 1915-2000. Macy’s side of Coddingtown Mall.
You will be amazed at the huge variety of summer camps and new activities to be discovered at this one exciting fair. Feel free to talk face-to-face with camp directors and other experts. Everything from sewing, arts and music, to sports, fitness, and horseback riding camps, just to name a few. There’s something for everyone in your family!

Wine Country Century 2020
The Wine County Century (WCC) is a long-term bicycle event produced by the Santa Rosa Cycling Club (SRCC). It is a long-time staple in SCRA\’s public service season. SCRA manages amateur radio commumnications with Net Control, rest stops, and radio SAGs. The event is a straight ahead century bike tour of the west central portions of the county. There are four route options: 38 miles, 100 km, 100 miles, and Super Century (118 miles).

Human Race – May 2, 2020
This easy, fun, HT-friendly event is great for those new to public service or looking to refresh their skills.
The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations and is the largest collaborative fundraising event in Sonoma County as well as the largest Human Race in the nation! The Sonoma County Race features a 3K and 10K run and walk through Howarth and Spring Lake Parks, rain or shine.
